Aerosmith Will Kick Off Their Farewell Tour In Philadelphia

Aerosmith will kick off their farewell tour in Philadelphia.

The “Peace Out” tour, announced on May 1, 2023, will begin on September 2, 2023 at the Wells Fargo Center. Joining Aerosmith will be special guests The Black Crowes.

It’s an honor that the band has chosen to begin saying “Peace Out” to their touring days in our city. Tickets will go on sale on Friday May 5, 2023 at wellsfargocenterphilly.com.

Believe it or not, the last time Aerosmith played in Philadelphia was with Cheap Trick ten years ago in July of 2012.

After 5 decades of rocking out with us, the band has decided its time to say goodbye. At least to touring. They have been on over 10 world tours, so we don’t blame them for wanting to hang their hats. And again, it’s not goodbye. It’s “Peace Out!”

These mysterious billboards began popping up all over the city last week, confusing us. Well now we know why! This band sure does know how to build hype for a big announcement.

Just a side note: Joey Kramer will be absent from this tour to focus on his health and family, but he will be there in spirit. It’s just another reason why saying “peace” may be fitting for the band, for now.

Philly and Boston have always had a rivalry, but when it comes to Aerosmith…now that’s something we can agree on. They are quite possibly some of the ONLY Bostonians we will welcome to our city with open arms.

So let’s do this! Aerosmith. September 2nd. Wells Fargo Center. Be there!
