Why Experiencing Fan Expo Philadelphia Gives You That Same Amazing Buzz Of A Concert
Experiencing Fan Expo Philadelphia gives you that same amazing buzz of a concert because, at a concert, you are all into the music, the lyrics, and the musicians. Fan Expo is like that except for you are fans of art and fantasy. Fan Expo allows you to plunge into a world of people expressing some of their favorite things. The buzz is huge, and my endorphins go on overdrive. I cannot help but grin. What’s more, you can talk to anyone and take photos with anyone, and everyone wants to do it. You are breathing fantasy together as a big wonderful group.
If you like TV Shows, Movies, Anima, Manga, the Supernatural, Steam Punk, Comic Books, Graphic Novels, Books, Art, Jewelry, and being in person with actors, voice actors, writers and artists, Fan Expo will make your head explode. Of the thousands of people who go, about a third of them dress up as their favorite characters. The Pennsylvania Convention Center is full of color and joy. The streets around the building are full of these fans as well. If you went or you are going today, you know!
There is nothing like walking behind two Hobbits and Gandalf the Gray as you check your weapons and then are able to walk through the glass doors to another world. There is also nothing like taking newbies and have their jaws drop.
Fan Expo used to be called Comic Con or Wizard World. I go every year if I can. This is the first year I dressed as my favorite character, Link, from The Legend of Zelda. It is a whole new experience if you dress up. Now you are someone other folks want a photo with. What fun to be asked to unsheath your sword and have your picture taken. I live in the moment and never take photos much to the chagrin of many, but, it turns out, once I am a character, I belong to the people.
Thank you to everyone who let me take their photo at Fan Expo Philadelphia. More so, thank you to everyone who wanted to take a photo of me or with me. It is a very humbling experience especially as I tried not to smile because Link never smiles. It was impossible.
