Derrick Pitts, Chief Astronomer and Director of the Fels Planetarium at The Franklin Institute, joins the show to answer Preston & Steve’s burning questions about space. An asteroid recently passed by Earth a little too close for comfort, astronauts might be able to “mine” oxygen and hydrogen on the moon, and terraforming mars might be more farfetched than science fiction makes it out to be. The gang also talks about billionaire-funded space programs, and who will actually be able to afford spaceflight in the future.
[02:26:48] George Wallace Interview. Comedian George Wallace is in town for a few shows at Helium this weekend and joined Preston & Steve in the studio this morning. After a busy day in Dubai and a long-haul road trip from Orlando, George stopped in to share a bit about the fulfillment he gets from his comedy career, working on his new show Clean Slate, and his qualms with Five Guys. We’re super thankful he was able to make it in from Shanghai on such short notice.
