The Origins
Dirty Honey came together when John Notto moved from Maine to LA. Notto was ready to put a band together. When he met Marc LaBelle they started playing together as a band called Ground Zero. They played LaBelle’s original songs and ’70s rock covers. The two of them then met Justin Smolian and Corey Coverstone. Dirty Honey was born. They worked on their first album during the pandemic. Nick DiDia is the producer and he also worked on their debut EP.
Musician Note
Finally, for the musicians in the audience- Notto says Dirty Honey plays in Eb. “Dirty Honey always plays in Eb.” he says.
