So what the heck is a sitatunga?! We didn't know either. Fortunately, the internet is a wonderful resource! Turns out, the sitatunga, also known as the marsh-buck, is a swamp-dwelling medium-sized antelope. Not big. Not small. Medium-sized.
RIP Chopper. We hardly knew ye.
Introducing Chopper, the Sitatunga! Chopper was born June 25, 2016 at Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. He spent some time in San Diego Zoo Safari Park before arriving at John Ball Zoo!
