Pierre Robert Honors Jerry Blavat This Weekend

On January 20th of this year, we lost not only a Philadelphia, but a national treasure: the Geator with the Heater, the Boss with the Hot Sauce, the one and only Jerry Blavat. I still miss him so much…
In March of this year I had dinner with the special lady of his life, Keely Stahl and one of his best buddies, AJ Mattia. Afterwards, I asked her if I could just take a look at the place where he lived, and the studio where he worked. They took me on a tour, and when we got to the studio, Keely said I should play a record. You can watch that very special moment below. Afterwards, Keely suggested that I ought to do one more full radio show from there, as Jerry had done so many times before.
In June, we set it up, and Jacky Bam Bam and myself went to the Geator Gold Studio and and recorded one final radio show from there. We will air it on WMMR between 7AM and 10AM this Sunday, October 22nd. You can listen on your radio, smart speaker or the MMR App.
A tribute to Jerry Blavat will take place the night before (10/21) at the Academy of Music hosted by Alicia Vittarelli, Adam Weiner of Low Cut Connie, and myself. Some tickets remain at kimmelculturalcampus.org. It will be an amazing night of live music, followed the very next morning on WMMR with a 3-hour oldies tribute to one of the greatest men in radio!
