How to Hear Green Day’s New Album Before Anyone Else
Green Day will release their fourteenth studio album Saviors on January 19th, but you won’t have to wait another full week to hear it. The band announced a “global listening party” this Saturday January 13th at indie record stores across the world.
According to an official email blast from Green Day, all of these listening parties “are free + have exclusive giveaways (while supplies last)” and fans will “get to hear the whole damn album in its entirety before it’s out!!!”

A full list of participating record shops can be found at ListenToSaviors.GreenDay.com. Start times vary and are listed on that website. Pennsylvania locations include Compact Disc Center in Bethlehem, MaTones Music in Collegeville, Spin Me Round in Easton, Young Ones in Kutztown, Rock N’ Roll Knife Fight in Lansdowne, and Gallery of Sound in Wilkes-Barre.
A couple of tracks from Saviors are already circulating online; the latest is “Dilemma”, which they performed live on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.
Green Day will embark on a stadium tour this summer two celebrate two other albums of theirs: Dookie, which turns 30 years old this year, and American Idiot, which will be 20. The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and the Linda Lindas will come along for the ride, and that show hits Philadelphia on Friday August 9th.
