Off to the Races! Jenn Fred & Kathy Romano Fly Down Montage Mountain Live on Fox 29
“Yeah. I can make it down in two minutes.”
The Preston & Steve’s Cardboard Classic event made an appearance on Fox 29 News! With around 100 sleds, a sunny morning and smooth snow, Jenn Frederick and Kathy Romano couldn’t wait to join in on the fun.
Montage Mountain is a ski resort after all, so why not ski before the sledding event? Jenn and Kathy decided to race down the hill together – wearing the same ski suits of course – from @tipsyelves.
As both friends were preparing for the journey down, Jenn jokingly asked, “How many times have you skied this year and how much did you drink last night?”
Laughing, Kathy replied stating she skied three times this year and had 2 margaritas. Jenn had 2 glasses of wine.
Once Tom the cameraman was ready on the snow mobile, they were off to the races! Jenn counted down and both Kathy (skiing) and Jenn (snowboarding) glided across the snow. Kathy was in the lead but eventually she and Jenn were flying down the slope side by side. Tom couldn’t catch up to them!
They reached the end of the course in under two minutes. Jenn had a fun time, but now she wants Kathy to do something scary with her next year. When Jenn asked if she would do that, Kathy gave her a “maybe”. We will have to wait and see!
All were super excited for this year’s Cardboard Classic. A lot of fans and contestants were preparing for the event behind them. Jenn even saw the bright pink Barbie sled off in the distance. Anchors Alex Holley and Mike Jerrick loved seeing a snapshot of the sledding event back at the Fox 29 studio.
With a hug Jenn exclaimed, “The snowboarder and skier are friends.”
The Preston & Steve Show’s crew matched Jenn’s ski suits this time because, as Mike put it, “You’re a family.”
