Draiman is obviously a huge name, thanks to his success with Disturbed. With Disturbed, he has sold more than 17 million records worldwide, earned five RIAA Platinum releases, received three Grammy Award nominations and more. Draiman is also known for his collaborations, as he’s done plenty over the years. Now, Nothing More and David Draiman are making noise together on this new track.
“The power of the track is undeniable,” Draiman said in a statement regarding “Angel Song.” He added, “I’ve been a fan of the band since the very beginning.”
“‘Angel Song’ is the haunting sound of our past selves melting into a future that is as bright as it is dark,” Nothing More frontman Jonny Hawkins said in a statement. “Our animal nature is getting more and more chewed up by society and our souls swallowed by technology, but there’s something in us that wants to fight back. As the song was coming together in the studio, it became immediately clear to us that David Draiman’s voice would take it to another level. We’re so happy with the result.”
Aside from Nothing More and David Draiman doing a new song together, Nothing More are keeping busy on the road this year. They’re currently on a co-headlining tour with Wage War, with special guests Veil of Maya and Sleep Theory. They wrap up that trek Saturday (May 18) in Bloomington, Illinois. Nothing More will also serve as direct support on Godsmack’s upcoming summer tour, which kicks off in June and runs through October. What’s more, the guys will appear at a handful of music festivals this year, including Louder Than Life, Aftershock and more. Expect to hear plenty of new songs off Carnal on the tour, as well as Nothing More’s roster of past hits. I remember playing these guys on the radio 10 years ago, and it’s hard to believe they’ve been around that long.
Nothing More recorded their new album with Grammy-nominated producer WZRD BLD, who has worked with Disturbed, Motionless In White, A Day To Remember and more. Mixing and mastering was done by Zakk Cervini, who has worked with Limp Bizkit, MGK and Bring Me The Horizon, to name a few. The album is available for pre-order now.
