Sean M. Haffey/Getty ImagesJackass and Viva La Bam star Bam Margera got married to his girlfriend Dannii Marie earlier this week in a low-key surprise ceremony.
TMZ reports that the couple tied the knot on Tuesday (5/28) in New Mexico because both of them are currently there filming a new movie called Collecting Souls.
Bam Margera allegedly said during the ceremony, "Exactly one year ago, I was checking into the Sunset Marquis in Los Angeles to check out. I bought enough drugs to not want to wake up and I said, 'God if I do wake up, eff you, but you better deliver me the hottest eye candy with A-cup t**s and a tan pitbull.'" How romantic!
He continued to Dannii, "I love you and I’ll love you forever and I’ll take care of you. You got rid of all the d***heads and goons and made me stop drinking and got me back to skateboarding and I cannot thank you enough."
Margera announced his third marriage in an Instagram post, saying in the caption, "To all of our friends and family. We’ve been planning this for a while with the Jim Burlson out here in Socorro New Mexico at this rad historical hotel."
Though he's now sober, the journey to get there has been marked with quite a few rehab stints. Margera visited the Preston and Steve Show last fall to give a candid update on what's been happening in his life, his estranged relationship with his family members, and his health, both physical and mental. He told the show then: "I bought a one-way ticket to hell and back, but I'm phenomenal now.”
CKY came home to Philadelphia for a show at Underground Arts that boasted a lineup of bands all born and bred in Pennsylvania. The New Reason to Dream Tour was announced earlier this year to celebrate the CKY's 25th anniversary.
First up on Wednesday night (5/22) was stoner-rock trio Boozewa. The band features Backwoods Payback members Jessica Baker on bass and Mike Cummings on drums, with their full rumble rounded out by Rylan Caspar on guitar. Stay tuned for a new record and a tour announcement from the band in the next couple of months.
Crobot came in like gangbusters next, with hair swinging, guitars spinning and beards gleaming with sweat. The momentum never slowed, and at one point singer Brandon Yeagley jumped onto guitarist Chris Bishop's shoulders, parading back and forth across the stage like a demonic giant. (Check out video of that moment on Instagram.) The Pottsville rockers treated the crowd to a few songs that have yet to be released, such as "Ancient Druid Crown" and "I Am Metal." Fans can expect those new recordings to arrive later this year.
Phil and April Margera, parents of CKY drummer Jess Margera (and by extension, the entire Jackass crew) were in the house to introduce the band. Chad I. Ginsburg took a moment to absorb the energy of "the greatest f'ing city in this country" before launching into "Sink Into The Underground". The rest of the set leaned heavily on their 2002 album Infiltrate•Destroy•Rebuild, evoking memories of the pre-YouTube days of Jackass videos and Camp Kill Yourself DVDs circulating through local skate shops. "Escape from Hellview" and "Flesh Into Gear" were highlights for the crowd, who were thrilled to welcome West Chester's finest back to Philadelphia.
