Two MMRBQ Bands Released New Albums This Week
MMRBQ is happening September 21st and we’ve been cranking the catalogs of the bands on the 2024 lineup. This week, two new albums were added to the mix.

MMRBQ will be here before you know it, and we've been cranking the catalogs of the bands on the 2024 lineup. This week, two new albums were added to the mix.
When is MMRBQ 2024?
Our annual all-day rock fest is happening on Saturday, September 21st this year. We'll descend upon Freedom Mortgage Pavilion with the entire WMMR for a giant party across two stages: the Main Stage, and the Preston and Steve Side Stage.
On the Main Stage, we'll see the Offspring, Halestorm, Nothing More, and the Warning - and that's just one half of the day. The General Admission portion of the fest will have P.O.D., Silvertide, Sleep Theory and Jersey Calling.
Over at the Preston and Steve Side Stage, there will be live band karaoke (featuring YOU on vocals), Jacky Bam Bam as your DJ, and lots more shenanigans. As always, WMMR will be broadcasting live from Camden all day!
Which bands just released new albums?
Today (6/28) two of the bands on the lineup put out new LPs. Nothing More have unleashed Carnal, their seventh studio effort, which features the single "If It Doesn't Hurt."
The Warning also put out an album today: Keep Me Fed is the fourth full-length release from the Villarreal Vélez sisters. "S!CK" is a hit that we'll surely hear on stage on September 21st.
What other new songs are out there?
There's a bunch of songs we'll be hearing live for the very first time at MMRBQ 2024! The Offspring announced that their album Supercharged will arrive a few weeks after the show, but in the meantime we're blasting the lead track "Make It All Right." Halestorm teamed up with I Prevail for the collab track "Can U See Me In The Dark." Both tracks premiered on Pierre Robert's show earlier this month.
P.O.D. just put out an album as well. Veritas features guest spots by members of Lamb Of God, Jinjer and Saosin.

We are less than a week removed from one of the best MMR*B*Q's ever, and I wanted to continue to share some of the pictures and selfies from my personal collection of photos that I snapped on Saturday. A lot of times it is hard to remember to capture some of the moments over the course of the day, to reflect back on later as you are running around Freedom Mortgage Pavilion like a crazy person between duties.
It is always a blast to meet and hang and get pictures with all of you, our great WMMR listeners! And if you happen to be reading this and got a picture with me at the MMR*B*Q, tag me on your socials @BrentPorche, or email me at Brent@WMMR.com, I would love to see them!
Make sure you check out all of the other super cool photos and galleries that we currently have up on our website WMMR.com, with more to be added soon. I am still combing through a ton of really cool pictures and video from the Shinedown set that I captured from the pit on Saturday.
MMRBQ Photos 2023
Highlights for me from this past weekend's MMR*B*Q, first and foremost, the weather! One of the nicest days weather-wise in the 16+ years we have been doing the MMR*B*Q! Meeting and hanging with all of our great listeners, including all of the amazingly talented singers that rocked the Preston & Steve Side Stage during live band karaoke with SideArm.
MMR's Local Shots Opener Vixen77 left it all out on the stage as they kicked off the 'RBQ in ferocious form. Dirty Honey & Ayron Jones always bring it, and then some! I missed Larkin Poe, but heard they were amazing as always. Seeing Billy Idol again is always a treat, so many smash-hit songs to sing along to, and of course, Steve Stevens is a BEAST on guitar.
Last but certainly not least, our 2023 MMR*B*Q headliner Shinedown absolutely killed it. Their out-of-this-world performance and stage show left us all in awe! I have seen "My Boys" dozens and dozens of times before, and this was, by far, one of the BEST shows I have ever seen from them!
What made me even happier was all of our great MMR listeners that got to experience it live and in person. For some, it was for the very first time. It's shows and performances like that from Shinedown and all the rest of the bands that performed at the MMR*B*Q that create memories and moments for us for life.
Brent Porche at the 2023 MMR*B*Q

Sara and her husband Jake made these super cool MMR*B*Q signs and logos that were displayed backstage at the event.
Shinedown's Zach Myers and Brent Porche

My dear friend Nick McGrath had these sneakers custom made for Zach. They featured all sorts of cool pictures and logos on them, including the MMR*B*Q logo, Shinedown album covers and more! Zach loved them!
Brent Porche on Stage During Ayron Jones

Ayron Jones and his band were certainly one of the highlights for me at the MMR*B*Q. Shout out to AJ's bassist Bob Lovelace, love that guy!

Can you find yourself?! Normally these stage shots don't come out too hot, but this one did! You guys look marvelous!

Nick and I grabbed a selfie during Ayron Jones' set.
RYYYYYE BREAD!

Funny how an idea comes together! This was the Preston & Steve Rye Bread Cart before it got devoured at the MMR*B*Q on Saturday.
MMR*B*Q Marquee

Freedom Mortgage Pavilion has had this really cool marquee up for years, which they change every single show to highlight the bands performing that night. Always a great spot for a photo op!
Brent Porche and an Empty FM Center

I grabbed this shot at the very end of the night, in a completely empty Freedom Mortgage Pavilion where hours earlier it was packed with thousands of our great MMR listeners.
Brent & Santa

Always great to see my friend Santa Claus! He is always front and center in the pit at almost every single show! I KNOW HIM!
Brent Porche & Barry Kerch of Shinedown

This shot was taken around midnight, backstage at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion of Shinedown drummer Barry Kerch & I. I was walking down the hallway, when I heard a whistle, and when I turned around, it was Barry! A dude that is as nice as he is talented!
