It turns out concerts could increase your life expectancy. In fact, they can also improve your overall well-being.

Do you like heading to the occasional concert? It turns out that with what you lose in hearing at loud gigs, you gain in happiness and years of living! That's right. Concert-going could actually help you live longer.

Study Says Concerts Could Increase Your Life Expectancy

This study, conducted by O2 and Patrick Fagan, an expert in behavioral science and Associate Lecturer at Goldsmith’s University, reveals that there is an alternative cure for those struggling with happiness. It can be found at your local music venue.

Just 20 minutes of gig-time can result in a significant 21% increase in feelings of well-being. Additional research directly linked high levels of well-being with a lifespan increase of nine years! So there is a direct link between concert-going and longevity.

Concert experiences increased participants' well-being by 21%. Key markers across the happiness spectrum show increases, including feelings of self-worth and closeness to others. Also, mental stimulation climbed by an impressive 75%.

Accompanying research showed a positive correlation between the regularity of gig attendance and a person's well-being. Those who attended live concerts once every two weeks or more were the most likely to score their happiness, contentment, productivity, and self-esteem at the highest level. So, experiencing live music regularly may be the key to a long-standing improvement in your well-being.

So Get Those Concert Tickets

You only live once, so go to that concert. It turns out it could actually keep you here longer. There's no harm in good music and surrounding yourself with good vibes. Also, be sure to do it often!

And remember; good vibes (AKA well-being) = longer life.

Rolling Stones Rock the Linc in South Philly [PHOTOS]

The World's Greatest Rock n' Roll Band returned to the world's best rock n' roll city (that's you, Philly) for a show at Lincoln Financial Field on Tuesday. The Rolling Stones go way back with this town and with WMMR. After a full day of concert warm-ups on air and at the stadium, we were more than ready for Mick, Keith, Ronnie and all the rest, and they absolutely delivered.

The Hackney Diamonds Tour launched after the release of the Stones' twenty-fourth (!) studio album, taking its name from a slang phrase for broken glass. The star-studded collection features the talents of the band's contemporaries like Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder and Elton John. They sound as fresh in 2024 as they did in 1964 thanks to producer Andrew Watt, whose skill in the studio and reverence for classic rock made him a top pick for the band when they began work on the album.

The Rolling Stones played a few of those new tracks for the Philly crowd, mixed in with their concert staples that never fail to make us dance (though none of us will ever look as cool as Mick Jagger does).
