How Shinedown’s Hot Sauce Gives Back to Charity [Interview]
Brent Porche here with another update from the Shinedown camp. Their drummer Barry Kerch gave us a call at 93.3 WMMR Philadelphia to introduce another hot sauce in their condiment lineup, plus he gave us an update on new music and more.
Back in May they released Symptom Chipotle Garlic Sauce. Shinedown and Torchbearer have since released two more sauces together – Devour Pineapple Jerk Sauce and Attention Attention: This is Hot!!! Mango Habanero Sauce. Torchbearer is a family-owned company from Mechanicsburg, PA, and they have won over 100 national awards and had 7 of their sauces featured on the hit series Hot Ones.
In this interview, Barry tells us that a portion of the proceeds will go to Musicians On Call – a nonprofit organization that brings live music directly to patients, families, and caregivers nationwide. Find out more about their cause at MusiciansOnCall.org.
We also talked about the most recent Shinedown show in Atlantic City, and how they were able to get their full pyro set-up in a venue that doesn’t allow pyro! Plus, the band is about halfway done album number 8… The hope is to have a new single from them before the end of this year, with a world tour starting in March and new album out later in the spring of 2025.
