The Magic of Radio! Preston’s Mystery Movie Title Found
For years, Preston has been wondering what the title of a particular movie scene was. After flagging down some help from listeners, were able to deliver Preston the title of the movie and the scene he requested.
The scene, Preston described as “a performer onstage, at a bar … his gag is that he wears a cap and gown, and he would toast the audience and say, “surf’s up!” and everyone would say “surf’s up!””. He notes that it isn’t a particularly interesting or remarkable film, but for some odd reason it is burned into his brain – and has been bothering him for years.
A monster shout out to listener Mike and his quick Google search, because of him, the film and clip was located. The movie, For Those Who Think Young, released in 1964 contains the scene that inhabited Preston’s brain for so long.
Upon finding out the name and seeing the clip of the movie, screams of giddiness filled the station.

The gang had many moments similar to this today, including a listener trying to find a song titled “White Bird”, which Casey was able to scavenge and played for him on air. Caller Jenna was only able to hum a song for the gang, which was swiftly located and played for her on air, which she awarded the gang as “her heroes”.
The topic of conversation rose from the discovery of a song that was unrecognizable for seventeen years. Two teenagers had a cassette tape that had one song they couldn’t recognize until they finally asked for help. The song ended up being from a small German band.
Though many cases were cracked today, some still remain unsolved. Caller Rob described a film which had a villain with a sharp fingernail, which nobody can still put their own finger on. Caller Zane still doesn’t know what song was behind a new generation Taco Bell commercial.
