The totals are in! Camp Out for Hunger 2024 collected…
Preston & Steve’s Camp Out For Hunger 2024 Totals:
Over 1.6 MILLION pounds of food.
1,661,016lbs to be exact. That’s over 830 TONS of food.
Monetary: $995,710 donated.
The pound totals includes 8 tractor trailers that were filled with food from donors on site between Monday at 6am and Friday at 11am. Plus the 138,630 lbs pounds that were collected during the Phila-a-Trunk kickoff car show on Sunday.
Monetary totals include hundreds pf donations made by individuals on site and the donation page at wmmr.com and over $500,000 donated by individuals at ACME Markets through the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and the $50,000 pledge-match donation from an anonymous listener.
Largest donation by a business / group / organization:
- 1st place: A Live Broadcast from Preston & Steve: Subaru of America – 720,000 pounds and $10,000.
- 2nd place: Pierre Broadcast: Comcast – 366,253 pounds.
- 3rd: $20,000 Q1 Ad Schedule on MMR: Campbell’s Chunky – 250,000 pounds.
- Random Drawing Prize from among all Business Challenge participants: an in-studio visit to see the Preston & Steve Show live: Remington and Vernick – 11,000 pounds.
The Camp Out For Hunger Games generated an additional 10,000 pounds of food from Bimbo Bakeries USA… that’s on top of their $10,000 donation.
