Down & Derby Festival to Return to South Jersey on Saturday, May 3

Veterans Island in Cooper River Park in South Jersey will be the place to be on Saturday, May 3, for the Down & Derby Festival. Attendees can participate in tastings, eat delicious food, enjoy live entertainment, and participate in derby-themed activities. The festival is a collaboration between the Camden County Board of Commissioners and Visit South Jersey.

Attendees can sip and sample 20 award-winning wines from South Jersey's top wineries. Live performances from the GoodMan Fiske Band and The Lally Brothers Band will round out the festivities.

“Every year, the Down & Derby Wine Festival grows bigger and better,” said Michael P. Snyder, director of operations for Visit South Jersey, in a statement shared with the PhillyVoice. “This year's lineup of wineries and entertainment sets the bar even higher. We're excited to showcase why South Jersey is a premier destination for both wine and culture.”

In true Derby fashion, guests are invited to attend dressed to impress. Throughout the day, prizes will be given for standout outfits — think bold hats, bowties, and springtime finery. 

Several food trucks will serve up foods ranging from quick bites to indulgent meals ideal for complementing your favorite glass of wine.

Several South Jersey wineries will be on-site with their products. These wineries include Auburn Road Vineyards, Plagido's Winery, Saddlehill Winery, Sharrott Winery, Summit City Winery, Tomasello Winery, Valenzano Winery, Villari Vineyards, Wagon House Winery, and White Horse Winery.

General admission tickets for the festival are $35. A VIP experience is available for $110, including a special gift and access to a VIP tent with food. Designated drivers can attend for $15. Purchase your tickets now.
