The famous fast-casual restaurant chain Roy Rogers will open a new restaurant location in Cherry Hill ahead of a complete remodel in late spring. It will be located at 614 Haddonfield Road in a building formerly serving as a PDQ chicken restaurant.
Roy Rogers, a popular restaurant chain from the 1970s and 1980s, was a significant presence in the fast-casual restaurant space. Specialties included chicken, hamburgers, and roast beef sandwiches.
A November 2024 press release noted that the building remodeling will feature the brand's design upgrades, such as the familiar exterior wooden black accents. In addition to the restaurant's design upgrades, the facility will feature advanced technologies, including new electronic menu boards, an ordering kiosk, and digital drive-thru menu displays.
A report by 42Freeway noted that the Roy Rogers is anticipated to open in late spring or early summer, potentially around early June, barring any unexpected delays.
“We could not be happier to bring our USDA-choice top-round roast beef, juicy burgers, and fresh, hand-breaded fried chicken back to Cherry Hill,” said Jim Plamondon, co-president of Roy Rogers Restaurants. “Roy's legacy fans will be thrilled to see the iconic Fixin's Bar and use our signature sauces to customize their favorite sandwiches and tenders. New guests will be pleased with our diverse menu and quality beef, burgers, and chicken you can't find anywhere else.”
