Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run

Now in its 46th year, the Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run has become one of Philadelphia's most beloved annual events. It's a hugely popular 10-mile road race that descends the iconic Broad Street, bringing in over 40,000 runners from around the world. Organized by the Philadelphia Department of Parks & Recreation, it's known as one of the largest 10-mile courses in the country and was first launched in 1980 with just 1,500 runners.
