Philadelphia Travelers to Get First Shot at American Airlines’ ‘Flagship Suite’ Airplane Seating
Air travelers flying from Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) will be among the first to experience American Airlines’ new Flagship Suite seats that will be available on the new Boeing 787-9….

Air travelers flying from Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) will be among the first to experience American Airlines' new Flagship Suite seats that will be available on the new Boeing 787-9. They are offering 51 new premium seats, available with privacy doors, enhanced storage space, and a charging pad for wireless devices.
Travelers who book the new seating will also be able to enjoy amenities through their Flagship Lounge, which will open this summer, according to a Philadelphia Inquirer report.
The new Boeing 787-9 aircraft will depart PHL beginning on Aug. 6 to London and on Sept. 3 to Zurich, Switzerland.
According to a Delco.Today report, the airline anticipates having 30 new 787-9 planes operational by 2029 and increasing its premium economy seating section by 50%.
An American Airlines news release confirmed that the Flagship Suite seating will be available on all newly produced 787-9 aircraft, new Airbus A321XLR aircraft, and the airline's retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER.
Tickets for Flagship Suite seating have been opened and are available for booking on American Airlines' website.
