David Corenswet Plays This or That Picking Philly Favorites

Philadelphians are known for their fiery opinions. Heated debates have taken place over the Mount Rushmore of Philly athletes, the correct toppings for a cheesesteak, and who your favorite radio personalities are (Hint: Preston & Steve!). Soon-to-be Superman and Philadelphia native David Corensweat sat down with People Magazine to tackle some of these hard-hitting questions, and his answers might surprise you.

When it comes to food and the question of cheesesteak or hoagie, Corenswet didn’t hesitate to join team hoagie. However, don’t worry, cheesesteak fans, his logic was sound, and he pointed out that you can turn a cheesesteak into a “cheesesteak hoagie” with a few extra ingredients. He probably had to cut down on how many cheesesteaks he was eating during filming, but now that the film is set to premiere on July 8th, all bets are off!

That wasn’t the only hard-hitting question David took on. Philly sports fans bleed for their teams, and Corenswet isn’t any different. Eagles vs Phillies? David went with the reigning Super Bowl Champs, the Philadelphia Eagles. It’s good to know that Superman supports your team. If there are any injuries, maybe he can fill in.

Speaking of sports teams, it's not just the athletes that make our Philly teams so special. We have two of the greatest sports mascots in the whole country in the Phillie Phanatic and Gritty, but David had to settle on just one. The Phanatic came out on top, with Corenswet citing his nostalgia for the big furry friend as the determining factor. Superman would probably make a better baseball player anyway!
