Staff from the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities will offer several free presentations for groups of older adults, service providers, and the general public throughout July. These presentations will focus on cybersecurity, helping people avoid identity theft, and understand the signs of consumer fraud.
The following programs will be offered to residents in the Philadelphia area.
Cybersecurity: Tips for Online Shopping
This presentation will provide tips to keep people safe while shopping online and protect their personal information during online transactions. The program will take place on July 21 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at the Phoenixville Public Library (183 Second Avenue, Phoenixville, PA).

This engaging event brings together experts from law enforcement and state agencies to help people understand how to protect their money from financial fraud and abuse. Attendees will also have the opportunity to play Fraud BINGO between sessions.
The program will be presented in the auditorium at Rydal Park and Waters, located at 1515 The Fairway in Jenkintown, Montgomery County, on July 18 from 10am-12pm. This program is presented in partnership with AARP Pennsylvania and is open to Pennsylvania residents only.
