Philadelphia is ready to light up the sky and the stage for Independence Day! The 2025 Wawa Welcome America July 4th Concert and Fireworks returns to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, capping off sixteen days of citywide celebration. Here’s your essential guide to making the most of this iconic Philly tradition.

Event Highlights: Philadelphia's July 4th Concert and Fireworks 2025

  • Concert: Starts at 7 p.m. on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway
  • Fireworks: Begin at 9:30 p.m. over the Parkway
  • Headliners: LL COOL J with DJ Z-Trip, GRAMMY® winner Jazmine Sullivan, JoJo, and Alvaro Diaz
  • Pre-show Fun: Local food trucks, Rita’s Italian Ice, Herr’s chip giveaways, wellness activities, and more

The main concert is free and open to the public, with gates opening at 4 p.m. General admission is first-come, first-served, so arrive early for the best spots. The event will also be broadcast live on NBC10, NBC Sports Philadelphia+, COZI TV, and streamed on multiple platforms.

How to Get There

  • Public Transit: SEPTA will run on a Sunday schedule with extra service. Check the SEPTA website for detours and updates.
  • Cycling & Walking: The Parkway is accessible, but some bike paths will close for safety during the fireworks.
  • Entry Points: Main entrance at 20th Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway (Logan Circle). Ticketed front section guests enter at 23rd & Pennsylvania Ave or 22nd & Winter Streets.

Safety & Accessibility

  • Security: All guests must pass through security checks. Prohibited items include alcohol, fireworks, weapons, drones, and large banners.
  • Heat Precautions: Stay hydrated, wear light clothing, and take breaks in shaded areas.
  • Accessibility: The Parkway is wheelchair accessible, with ADA-compliant restrooms and multiple screens for viewing.

What to Bring (and What to Leave Home)

Permitted:

  • Personal food and non-alcoholic drinks
  • Small coolers
  • Pets on leashes
  • Chairs and blankets (not in ticketed front section)

Not Permitted:

  • Alcohol, fireworks, weapons, glass containers, drones, large signs, and unauthorized commerce
