WWE has announced that a special edition of NXT is coming to The Met in Philadelphia on Tuesday, Aug. 19. The event will air live on The CW beginning at 8pm.
Tickets for NXT go on sale today, Wednesday, July 9, at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.com.
According to the Wrestling Observer Figure Four Online, an Aug. 18 edition of WWE Raw will also occur in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center. The Met is located just north of Center City. AEW will begin a residency the following week, starting with the Aug. 27 edition of Dynamite.
AEW's scheduled shows in Philadelphia during this period include the following:
- Dynamite on Wednesday, Aug. 27
- Collision on Saturday, Aug. 30
- Dynamite on Wednesday, Sept. 3
- ROH Death Before Dishonor on Friday, Sept. 5
- Collision on Saturday, Sept. 6
- Dynamite on Wednesday, Sept. 10
- Collision on Thursday, Sept. 11
In November 2023, WWE and The CW entered a five-year agreement to bring NXT to broadcast television. NXT joins a growing list of live sports available for viewing on The CW. These sports include ACC football and basketball games, AVP beach volleyball, Grand Slam Track, the NASCAR Xfinity Series, and Pac-12 football games.
