Avelo Airlines announced it will increase nonstop flights between Wilmington Airport and Orlando, Florida, while bringing back its seasonal San Juan, Puerto Rico, route.
Beginning Oct. 1, flights from Wilmington to Orlando International Airport will expand from two to four flights per week. New Wednesday and Saturday departures will join the existing Monday through Friday service.
Also on Oct. 1, Avelo will restore its nonstop route to San Juan, Puerto Rico, offering Wednesday and Saturday flights after a September hiatus. Additional trips to San Juan will be provided around Thanksgiving and Christmas to accommodate holiday travelers.
Travelers can book flights at AveloAir.com.
“At Avelo Airlines, our goal is to inspire travel,” said Avelo Airlines Founder and CEO Andrew Levy in a statement shared with Coast TV. “We do this by saving our customers time and money so they can travel more. These additional flights, coupled with our everyday low fares and industry-leading reliability, will inspire our customers to fly even more this fall.”
Avelo Airlines began serving Wilmington Airport in February 2023. Since then, Delaware has enjoyed the ability to provide commercial air operations in the state.
