Penn State is coming back to Philadelphia to face off against La Salle in its non-conference competition schedule. The game will take place at Xfinity Mobile Arena, formerly the Wells Fargo Center, on Saturday, Nov. 15.

Penn State-La Salle's game is part of the Basketball on Broad Autumn Invitational in Philadelphia, which includes a doubleheader featuring Drexel and Syracuse. The tipoff time and broadcast designation will be announced at a later date.

"Xfinity Mobile Arena is quickly becoming the local hub for college basketball in the region," said arena general manager Michael Sulkes to Lions247.com. "We're looking forward to hosting four of the best basketball programs in the region and starting a new tradition with this doubleheader. With events like this doubleheader and the Big 5 Classic, we are excited to be a part of the rich tradition of college basketball in Philadelphia!"

Penn State's return to Philadelphia fulfills a desire by coach Mike Rhoads to take the Nittany Lions around the state so that various groups of Penn State alumni can see the team play.

This upcoming season will mark the second straight year that the Nittany Lions will face off against a Philadelphia college at the home of the Philadelphia 76ers. Last season, Penn State defeated Drexel 75-64. Penn State has also played Big Ten games at the Palestra in Philadelphia during each of the past three NCAA seasons.
