True Tattoo Expo Unites Body Art Enthusiasts in Philadelphia

Those who want to explore art on the body don't have to look beyond Philadelphia. The True Tattoo Expo is a three-day event taking place from Friday, Nov. 7, to Sunday, Nov. 9, at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, located at 100 Station Ave. in Oaks. 

Tickets range from $25 for a day pass to $150 for full VIP weekend access. The expo will offer food and drinks on-site, with operating hours as follows: Friday, noon to 10 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. VIP ticket holders will receive early access to the expo each day.

According to PhillyVoice, attendees can watch live tattoo demonstrations, get tattooed, and explore a variety of tattoo styles. Additional activities include henna tattoos, face painting, and permanent jewelry demonstrations and exhibitions.

Each day, tattoo competitions will feature international artists competing in several categories, including fine-line and large-scale designs, as well as multiple judging rounds to promote artist and audience participation. 

Saturday's schedule features special events, including the "Walk-In Warrior" live tattoo competition. An after-party will be held at The Water Tower, located across the street from the expo center.
