Due to impending inclement weather on Sunday, Oct. 12, the Chestnut Hill Fall for the Arts Festival has been rescheduled for Sunday, Oct. 19, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., along Germantown Avenue. The event will offer a lively, family-friendly, and pet-friendly celebration of art, music, and community activities.
This year's festival features more than 300 local and regional artists and vendors showcasing a diverse array of artworks. Attendees can find paintings, jewelry, pottery, wood crafts, and sculptures, with many pieces available for purchase.
The event will also highlight Chestnut Hill's local culture. During the festival, guests will be encouraged to explore more than a dozen restaurants and 80 specialty stores featuring specials and activities, including galleries, boutiques, and home and garden retailers.
New elements this year will include an interactive community mural creation led by artist Louis DeVito at Makers Village and a Kids Artist Booth for young artists to display their work.
Throughout the day, attendees will also enjoy entertainment such as live painting, musical performances, dance, jewelry demonstrations, children's theater, tarot readings, and photo booths at various venues along Germantown Avenue.
Additionally, the neighborhood will host a community-wide celebration of Free Gumbo Day, inviting visitors to enjoy food and festivities while exploring the event.
To access Chestnut Hill via public transportation, take the SEPTA Chestnut Hill East or Chestnut Hill West Regional Rail lines, or SEPTA Bus Routes 23, 77, 94, 134, and L.
