Ocean City is bustling this October with a variety of community events. Here's a preview of events coming up for the second half of this month:

Oct. 18

A Porsche Boardwalk Reunion will take place on Saturday, Oct. 18. Porsches will be displayed from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Ocean City Boardwalk from Sixth Street to 14th Street.

Oct. 18-19

Presented by the OCTC Junior Company, Hadestown, a folk opera, delivers a decidedly unique theatrical experience. Performances will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m. at the Music Pier. Tickets are available at oceancitytheatrecompany.com.

Oct. 19

The John R. Elliott HERO Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run will be held on Sunday, Oct. 19. The walk and one-mile fun run are dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of safe, sober designated drivers and to remembering those whose lives have been lost to drunk driving.

Oct. 25

Organized by the Humane Society of Ocean City, the HSOC “Howl-O-Ween” Parade encourages contestants to dress themselves and their dogs in fun Halloween costumes in the spirit of the season. Registration begins at 2 p.m. at the Sports & Civic Center. The parade starts at 3 p.m., and the procession will take place from Sixth to 14th Street on the Boardwalk. This year's parade grand marshals include former Philadelphia Phillie Milt Thompson and FOX 29 news anchor Dawn Timmeney.

Oct. 25-26

Dog Days on Saturday, Oct. 25, and Sunday, Oct. 26, invite leashed dogs to enjoy the Boardwalk. Vendors and additional activities will be available, complemented by the Humane Society's Howl-O-Ween Parade and Costume Skate on Oct. 25 to promote pet community engagement.

Oct. 29

The Ocean City Chamber of Commerce invites individuals to meet Ocean City businesses, groups, and organizations at this annual welcome night on Wednesday, Oct. 29. This free event will run from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Oct. 30

See the spooks and spirits during the annual Ocean City Halloween parade, sponsored by the Ocean City Exchange Club. The parade begins at 7:30 p.m. at Sixth Street and Asbury Avenue. For more information, visit ochp.blogspot.com.
