A 20-year-old entrepreneur has launched a new app designed to make home cleaning easier.

Alexander Varughese is the creator of Cleopatra, a new AI-powered cleaning app that aims to modernize home cleaning services. Cleopatra officially launched in Mercer County, New Jersey, on Aug. 25.

"I kept hearing how stressful it was for people to find someone they could trust," said Varughese. "With Cleopatra, I wanted to build something that feels human, fast, and dependable, the kind of experience I'd want for my own home."

The app allows users to easily book trusted, vetted cleaners, replacing traditional phone calls with a few taps. Cleopatra offers secure payments and real-time updates for users.

Each CleoCrew member is background-checked, verified, and continuously reviewed using AI-powered quality systems to ensure quality and consistent cleaning results.

From one-time deep cleans to weekly touch-ups, Cleopatra offers users real-time updates, transparent pricing, and recurring cleaning scheduling, according to the release.

Cleopatra currently serves the following communities in Mercer County:

  • East Windsor
  • Ewing
  • Hamilton
  • Highstown
  • Lawrenceville
  • Pennington
  • Princeton
  • Robbinsville
  • Trenton
  • West Windsor

Varughese said his company prioritizes fair pay and growth opportunities for its cleaners by sharing most of its earnings directly with them, along with training and safety resources. Available on both iOS and Android platforms, Cleopatra aims to expand beyond Mercer County into other cities, modernizing professional cleaning services with technology.
