The 2025 Holiday Light Parade in Kennett Square is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 22, at 6 p.m., sponsored by Kennett Square Family Dentistry. More than 100 illuminated floats, live performances, and festive attractions will all be part of the celebration this year.
The parade route runs along State Street from Broad Street to Mill Road. It will feature lights, dancers, fire engines, and decorations, culminating in Santa lighting the town tree. Parade participants include the Woodland String Band with its signature Mummers-style flair. Additional entertainment will include performances by the Longwood Dance Company, Kennett High School Marching Band, the Dixie Demons Alumni Group, and the Lenape Brass Ensemble.
Kennett Collaborative is the presenter of the Kennett Square Holiday Light Parade.
“We've been blown away by the response this year — businesses, community groups, and organizations started signing up as soon as registration opened in September,” said Mary Lou Baily, Kennett Collaborative's development manager, in a statement shared with MyChesCo. “The team is so excited to see how much the parade has grown, and with more than 13,000 people coming out to enjoy it last year, we can't wait to welcome everyone back for another unforgettable night to kick off the holiday season in Kennett Square. We're especially thrilled to have the Woodland String Band joining the lineup this year and so thankful to our sponsors who make all the magic happen.”
The Holiday Light Parade in Kennett Square is part of a broader slate of Kennett Collaborative events this season. These activities include the Holiday Window Tour, Small Business Saturday, the Holiday Village Market, Tinsel on the Town, and Midnight in the Square.
