Peddler's Village is kicking off the holiday season with a Grand Illumination Celebration today, Friday, Nov. 14, as the first event of its three-day Holiday Weekend Kickoff.

Entertainment begins at 4:30 p.m. with sing-alongs, carolers, and performances, followed by Santa and Mrs. Claus lighting the village with more than a million lights at 6:15 p.m.

Admission and parking are free. Due to the large number of people expected, Peddler's Village officials encourage guests to arrive early and anticipate traffic delays.

The Holiday Weekend Kickoff continues on Saturday, Nov. 15, and Sunday, Nov. 16, with a Gingerbread House Competition and Display, live entertainment, shopping, and food, plus nighttime illuminated strolls.

The popular Gingerbread Competition and Display runs Friday, Nov. 14, through Jan. 17, 2026, at the Visitor & Event Center. There, guests can witness and vote on more than 100 gingerbread creations across multiple categories.

Peddler's Village hosts more than 60 shops and boutiques. As they shop, guests can walk through a tunnel of lights, discover a decorated holiday tree on the Village Green, and take photos. Guests are encouraged to plan weekday visits due to higher weekend crowds.

Now through Dec. 7, Peddler's Village will support a toy drive in partnership with the Salvation Army. Visitors may bring donations of new, unwrapped toys, socks, gloves, and blankets to donation stations at village restaurants, Giggleberry Fair, and the Visitor & Event Center.

Enchanted Evenings in December offer opportunities to enjoy the village's shopping and dining experiences with lighter crowds than on weekends. A weekday happy hour from 4-6 p.m. and entertainment on select weekday evenings complement the experience.

Additional holiday activities include the following:

  • Photos with Santa: Friday through Sunday, Nov. 14 through Dec. 20.
  • Breakfast with Santa at Giggleberry Fair: Sundays, Nov. 23 and 30, and Dec. 7 and 14
  • Thanksgiving Dining: Thursday, Nov. 27. Gather with friends and family at the Cock ‘n Bull's annual Thanksgiving buffet or enjoy Thanksgiving Day a la carte specials at Earl's New American.
  • Small Business Saturday: Saturday, Nov. 29
  • Holly Jolly Weekend: Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 6 and 7, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Brunch with Santa: Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 20 and 21
  • Fire & Frost Fun: Jan. 9 and 10, and Jan. 16 and 17, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
