The Community Action Partnership of Lancaster County (CAP) partnered with 18 restaurants in Lancaster for its "Nourish the Neighborhood" initiative to work with food pantries. This restaurant week-type event ran from Dec. 1 to Dec. 7 and helped raise funds for local food pantries faced with record numbers of people using their services.
Participating restaurants encouraged their patrons to purchase a food or drink special while supporting neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
According to WGAL, the effort to help food pantries spanned a diverse lineup of Lancaster venues, including 551 West, Aura Little Café, Sahara Bistro Shwarma, Spring House Brewing Co., The Imperial Restaurant, Zoetropolis, and more.
