Ten New Jersey colleges have gained recognition in a new national ranking of 200 colleges that help young women find schools that support their career development.
Newsweek and Gender Fair partnered to create the "America's Best Colleges for Women 2026" rankings that identify whether institutions treat people equitably. To qualify, U.S. four-year colleges must employ 20 or more women in academic roles and have 1,000 or more students.

Felician University in Bergen County ranked No. 30 nationwide and was the top-ranked New Jersey school. Georgian Court University in Ocean County also ranked in the top 50, coming in at No. 46.

- No. 46: Georgian Court University
- No. 63: New Jersey City University
- No. 105: Montclair State University
- No. 107: Saint Elizabeth University
- No. 155: Kean University
- No. 162: Ramapo College of New Jersey
- No. 176: Drew University
- No. 186: Centenary University
- No. 193: Bloomfield College
The rankings looked at four key areas: women in leadership roles, including administration and professorships; pay parity and access to day care; hate crimes and crimes against women on campus; and diversity among students and faculty.
