The Philadelphia dining scene has kicked off 2026 with a slate of must-visit restaurants, including MICHELIN-starred spots and destination concepts. The city is redefining its culinary identity beyond cheesesteaks, boosted by its first MICHELIN Guide inclusions in 2025 and a broad push toward fine dining and innovative concepts.

Visitors and locals alike can enjoy an eight-course tasting at Chef Chad Williams's restaurant, Friday Saturday Sunday, or explore Her Place Supper Club, Provenance, Borromini by Stephen Starr, and Dancerobot by Jesse Ito.

Philly's MICHELIN Standouts

The MICHELIN era has taken hold in Philadelphia.

  • Chef Chad Williams has officially secured a Michelin Star for his Rittenhouse Square establishment, Friday Saturday Sunday.
  • Chef Amanda Shulman's Her Place Supper Club highlights intimate, European-inspired cooking.
  • The Rittenhouse standout Provenance also has its MICHELIN star. Here, Chef Nicholas Bazik has stepped up the city's seafood game.

Borromini

Borromini, a 16,000-square-foot Italian flagship restaurant from Stephen Starr in Center City, delivers frescoes, a marble staircase, outdoor dining, and crowd-pleasing tableside salt-crusted branzino.

Dancerobot

Dancerobot, Jesse Ito's neon-infused Japanese "comfort food" bar in Rittenhouse, blends high-end technique with late-night dining, highlighting dishes like Katsu Curry and frozen sake cocktails.

The Return of Tallow

Beef tallow has returned to mainstream kitchens. The rendered ancestral fats deliver crispy textures to dishes served at venues such as Butcher Bar and Huda Burger. At Honeysuckle Restaurant, guests can indulge in a nostalgic "McDonald's Money Burger."

Center City District Restaurant Week

Center City District Restaurant Week, running now through Jan. 31, spotlights dozens of restaurants across Center City. Participating restaurants are offering exclusive menu discounts: three-course prix-fixe dinners for $45 or $60, and two-course lunches for $20.  The event offers guests the opportunity to sample dishes from favorites such as Amada, Barbuzzo, and Bud & Marilyn's, among others.

Looking ahead, Philadelphia will solidify its status as a global hub by hosting significant events such as the FIFA World Cup and MLB All-Star Game. These events offer opportunities for bold new chefs with MICHELIN prestige to bring diners from across the nation and around the world to their tables.
