Delaware Campground Crowned Top Glamping Spot in North America

A Sussex County campground has taken top honors for glamping in North America.

According to the 2026 Campspot Awards, Sun Outdoors Rehoboth Bay in Millsboro, Delaware, is recognized as the top campground for glamping. The annual awards from the campground booking platform assess campgrounds in categories such as RV sites, glamping, family-friendly stays, and outdoor accommodations.

Sun Outdoors Rehoboth Bay was recognized in the glamping category, spotlighting campgrounds that provide upscale accommodations and amenities alongside diverse outdoor experiences. The awards underscore rising interest in experiential travel and glamping, a trend that blends outdoor settings with resort-style amenities.

According to a Milford Live report, Sun Outdoors Rehoboth Bay achieved the highest ranking in the glamping category. This ranking is based on an evaluation that included guest ratings, reservation data, park features, and other performance measures. Campspot officials said they analyzed more than 3.3 million data points as they considered eligible properties for this recognition.

“Campgrounds are more than places to stay. They're places where memories get made, traditions start, and community shows up,” said Jeff Bettin, general manager of Marketplace at Campspot, in a news release. “The Campspot Awards are our way of recognizing parks that consistently deliver standout guest experiences, backed by data, and celebrating the people who make those experiences happen.”
