The City of Philadelphia has opened its next round of funding for the Neighborhood Economic Development Grant. Applications are due by Thursday, March 19, at 5 p.m.

According to a news release, the Neighborhood Economic Development Grant offers funding to nonprofit organizations, including community development corporations, to support economic opportunities and neighborhood revitalization. Eligible projects can receive between $50,000 and $500,000 to fund commercial space for businesses serving low- and moderate-income residents across four categories: planning, pre-development, development, and acquisition.

In 2025, seven projects across Philadelphia received a total of $1,925,000 in grant investments: 

  • African Cultural Alliance of North America Inc. (ACANA) Africa Center: 5434 Chester Ave.
  • Allegheny West Foundation Food Distribution Program: 2208 W. Indiana Ave.
  • Cambodian Association of Greater Philadelphia Passyunk Hall Stabilization Acquisition: 2514 S. 24th St.
  • Fallser Club Commercial Kitchen: 3721 Midvale Ave.
  • Olney Community Collaborative: 5458 N. Fifth St.
  • Park to Broad Business Center: 2825 W. Girard Ave.
  • Tacony Community Development Corporation Torresdale Acquisition Plan: 6800 Torresdale Ave.

Applicants must complete an application through eContract Philly before the deadline to be considered for the contract opportunity.
