As you dig out your beach tent and umbrella from storage and plan your summer vacations on the Jersey Shore, be sure to check the regulations for sun shade coverings for your desired beach destinations. Not all towns allow them on their beaches.
According to a report by the USA TODAY Network, beach communities such as Atlantic City, Avalon, Barnegat Light, Sea Isle City, Ship Bottom, Stone Harbor, and the Wildwoods currently have no restrictions in place. Wildwood has placed a temporary ban on tents, however, as the city seeks to reinvigorate its beaches.
