When you're looking for a break from the daily grind, you don't have to look far beyond New Jersey for a getaway. The team at WorldAtlas recently compiled a list of the "most relaxing" towns across New Jersey. Amenities in these towns iclude access to water, walkable main streets, bustling downtowns, and scenic surroundings.

Blairstown

Blairstown is a historic township featuring the Blairstown Historic District, landmarks like an 1825 stone grist mill, and the Flatiron Building. The town offers access to Jenny Jump State Forest and the Paulinskill Valley Trail. Film buffs might recognize the iconic Blairstown Diner, a 1950s establishment that served as a primary filming location for the original Friday the 13th.

Cape May Point

Cape May Point sits at the southern tip of Cape May County. The community is home to the Cape May Lighthouse, state park trails, the offshore wreck of the SS Atlantus wreck, and beaches where Cape May diamonds — naturally tumbled quartz crystals — are found.
