Eric Lindros Invites Preston & Steve Listener To Attend Flyers Alumni Game
Eric Lindros came in hot during his guest appearance on The Preston & Steve Show. “Hey bitches! Hey what!” -Eric Lindros The former Flyers star and Hockey Hall of Famer talked about the Flyers Alumni Game on Friday, Jan. 26, the team’s turnaround in 2023-24, and Casey’s embarrassing fanboy moment from his first appearance on the show years ago. The highlight of Lindros’ appearance came when he invited Brian from Marlton, NJ and his wife Brooke to the Alumni Game as part of a full VIP package that includes a chance to meet the legendary #88. Eric Lindros, Flyers Alumni Game Lindros spent the prime years of his NHL career as the captain of the Flyers during the “Legion of Doom” era in the 1990s. He spent most of his tenure on the top line with reliable sidekicks John LeClair and Mikael Renberg. He won the Hart Trophy as the NHL MVP in 1995 and led the Flyers to the Stanley Cup Final in 1997. He’ll return to the Wells Fargo Center to see his former teammate Mark Recchi enter the Flyers Hall of Fame this weekend. Lindros was inducted in 2014. Preston & Steve Contest Preston couldn’t let Lindros off the phone without bringing up the “awkward, embarrassing moment where Casey was professing his love for Eric Lindros” years ago. Credit Brian from Marlton for quickly answering the call with the correct line for the show’s contest. He nailed it, saying “I never thought Eric Lindros would be calling my phone.” https://twitter.com/PrestonSteve933/status/1750154556326006926 The Flyers Alumni Game won't be some light pickup softball matchup. Lindros played with an edge throughout his career, and he talked about “making sure there was a transaction” at an opportunity to hit some rival opponents during a the old school era of hockey. He might not be throwing checks on 80-year-old Joe Watson (like Steve suggested). However, the competition against the Boston Bruins Alumni might get intense. Todd Fedoruk also brought some energy during his Tuesday appearance with Preston & Steve. “The hockey comes back out. There’s a competitive (edge). It’s fun to watch old, washed-up guys try hard again…It’s a fun event.” -Todd Fedoruk (Flyers Radio Color Commentator and Former Enforcer) Watch the full interview with Eric Lindros below, and get your tickets to see the Flyers Alumni Game on Friday, Jan. 26 at the Wells Fargo Center.
