A few weeks before the release of their debut album, Halestorm took part in an MMaRchive Session with our afternoon host and local music enthusiast, Jaxon. Even though the band was still new to the worldwide rock audience at this point, MMR had been acquainted with PA natives for a while; Jaxon befriended the Lzzy and Arejay Hale as they worked their way up through Philly rock clubs like Grape Street. The night of this session (4/3/2009) they played the Electric Factory with Shinedown. A month later they opened the MMRBQ, and the rest is history!
