Michael Anthony talks Supergroups, Hot Sauce & Van Halen Reuniting Before Someone Dies
Michael Anthony has paired up with Van Halen bandmate, Sammy Hagar to form a supergroup, The Circle, with Jason Bonham & Vic Johnson. Their set is full of Van Hagar songs, Led Zepplin for Jason and “all the stuff we grew up listening to.”
Before their show at The Mann, Michael checked in with The Preston & Steve Show to talk about how the group formed while Chickenfoot is on hiatus (apparently the Red Hot Chili Peppers tour is a higher priority for drummer Chad Smith). They also talked about Michael’s hot sauce line and the potential of a Van Halen reunion, “especially now, everyone is still alive.”
