Greetings Citizen!
As you may know, about this time last year I rescued an injured snapping turtle on Route 23 near Bala Cynwyd. Kyle Korver (former boy in blue) helped me the injured creature it into my car and from there I took it to the Schuylkill Wildlife Rehabilitation Center (www.SchuylkillCenter.org) on Port Royal Ave. in Roxborough. The great people there took excellent care of Thomas and now, a year later, he’s healed and yesterday we released him back into the wild! I was given the honor of putting him into the Schuylkill River. What a thrill! Thanks to Kristin Holmes for writing an article on Thomas’ story in the Inquirer, which you can read HERE. But most importantly, thanks to Rick, Emily, Kim, and all the volunteers at the Schuylkill Wildlife Rehabilitation Center that took such good care of Thomas and invited me to release him back into the wild!
Cheers,
Pierre
