Prior to their sold-out return to Franklin Music Hall in Philadelphia, Rise Against leader Tim McIlrath caught up backstage with Pierre Robert on 93.3 WMMR. Tim tells Pierre about the need to earn the name “Rise Against”, as well as what the band could’ve been named when they were forming. He also discusses overcoming the nerves of playing a tour of mostly deeper cuts, the many socio-political topics their music addresses, and a timeline of when a new Rise Against record will arrive.
