Out of the blue this week Living Colour’s founding member Tweeted out a story about how Middle Man was the make-it or break-it song for the band. They were doing college tours when WMMR in Philadelphia put ‘Cult of Personality’ into rotation, and the rest is history. Vernon called into The Preston & Steve Show to share the story complete with names of all the old record reps and A&R people who were in Philly at the time making it happen (so cool!).
The conversation didn’t end there, the gang talked about music, new and old, and they even share a sample of Preston’s cover band, The Image, playing Living Colour at a bar gig in the 80’s.
