Alexandra and her husband DJ had Maddox last March. He was born with what is called Vein of Galen Malformation. VOGM is an abnormal arrangement of blood vessels in the brain which can lead to heart failure and hydrocephalus. The doctors at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York saved his life, both at the time of his birth as well as a few additional procedures since, to help stop or slow the flow of blood to the brain. Now at one year old, he’s doing great, however, treatments are still ongoing.

They are having this benefit to help with some of the costs of traveling back and forth to New York and other expenses, as well as making a donation for VOGM research and help others who may never heard of this abnormality.
