Kristy Simcox has been bravely battling cancer since 2018, when she was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer. After enduring multiple rounds of chemotherapy, daily radiation treatments, and major abdominal surgery, our family thought the worst was behind us. However, in 2020, Kristy faced another devastating diagnosis: stage 3 breast cancer. She underwent further surgeries and chemotherapy, but in 2022, we discovered the cancer had metastasized to her liver. Today, Kristy now faces stage 4 cancer. The disease has spread throughout her bones, including her sternum, vertebrae, pelvis, and femur. This has made even basic breathing and mobility increasingly difficult and painful.
Despite continuous chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments, the disease continues to progress. Fortunately, there are other treatment options but they are out of reach financially for the family. Because of the dire nature of Kristy’s situation their family is trying to raise money to be seen and treated by an integrated oncologist. These doctors DO NOT accept insurance and can run in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
