#TogetherJenReevesWillOverComeIt!
From Shane Smalley:
My wife is a teacher at a small elementary school in South Jersey and one of her closest friends, who is also a teacher at the same school, was recently diagnosed with a rare, aggressive form of cancer (I can’t remember the name) in her jaw which is odd because she is not and has never been a tobacco user. She is waiting on test results to see if it has spread anywhere else. To make a long story short, she is going to lose a part of her jaw bone, which will be replaced with a piece of bone from her lower leg. There is a possibility that she will end up with some facial paralysis and a permanently changed voice. She lost her dad to cancer last year and has been doing an amazing job keeping her head up for not only her children but also for her students. Teachers in NJ do not get any kind of disability unless they pay out of pocket. As a single mother of three, she can’t take the hit in her paychecks.
Friends and family have set up a Go Fund Me to help Jen and her kids.
The ultimate goal of the fundraiser is to give her and her family a little bit of a cushion so that they have one less thing to worry about.
Thank you all so much for all of your help.
