Happy Sole’s 2nd annual golf outing will be at McCall’s Golf Club in Upper Darby on Monday, June 23rd at noon.

Starts with a lunch, 1pm shotgun start, and dinner after with a two hour open bar. If you’re not a golfer, you can sign up just for the dinner. There will be raffle prizes as well. All proceeds benefit Happy Soles and their efforts to make cancer patient’s lives better. Happy Soles is a DELCO-based charity that has three main missions.

First, they create care packages for people going through cancer treatment (socks, lip balm, tchotchkes to make them smile).

Second, they help fund IVF treatments for oncofertility patients (oncofertility is a fancy term to describe people with compromised fertility due to cancer treatment; IVF allows them to go have the families they always wanted).

Third, they sponsor the Janet Bollinger Doherty Memorial Law Scholarship for a Delco resident to defray the cost of law school This was created in memory of my sister. Janet was born and raised in Springfield, became a lawyer at a premier Philly Law Firm and lost her 9-year battle with breast cancer in December 2022.
