Terry, Ms. Croneberger, as her students call her, is a special ed teacher at Riverside High School, she also does home instruction for medically fragile students who can’t attend school in person. In addition, she does respite care for developmentally disabled youth. Terry has devoted her life to helping the special needs youth in her community and now she needs assistance as she navigates through replacing everything she owns and rebuilding her home. She is going to face the difficult road of repairs and rebuilding.
On Friday, February 28th, Terry came home from school and took her pup Daisy for a walk. She returned about 10 minutes later to find her home engulfed in flames. Luckily she and Daisy escaped any injuries. Unfortunately, her cat, Mini, passed away in the fire. Terry lost everything in the fire, she walked away with only the clothes on her back. No glasses, phone, car keys, ID etc.
The insurance company has declared her home a total loss. Terry has received lots of donations, of clothes, shoes, toiletries etc. We are now focusing on the GoFundMe as she was told by the insurance company that her housing allowance will not be enough to cover the full length of her displacement which is expected to be 8 months to a year.
Terry is a devoted teacher who gives back to the youth in her community. Any donations are greatly appreciated!
