Eric Hetrick’s medical issues started suddenly about 2 weeks ago. He is a teacher in the Spring Ford School District.
Description and Goals:
Eric Hetrick, a well loved 1st grade teacher, husband and father of two boys is being treated for a rare infection known as Meticillin-Sensitive Staphylococcus Aureus (MSSA) that impacted multiple areas of the body. He recently underwent open heart surgery to repair a valve in his heart and is recovering in the hospital. Knowing that Eric has a long road ahead and considering everything he does for the children of the community, local friends are raising funds to help with his care. Any money raised will go to the family to help cover medical expenses and related fees (e.g. daily parking fees at the hospital, items not covered by insurance etc).

Our dear friend, teacher, and mentor, Eric Hetrick, is currently being treated for a rare infection known as Meticillin-Sensitive Staphylococcus Aureus (MSSA). Eric entered the ICU on May 25th and continues to be monitored there. He recently underwent open heart surgery to repair a valve in his heart and address the abscesses on his aorta. His medical team is monitoring abscesses on his brain to determine if brain surgery is needed. Eric continues to battle numerous other complications from the infection.
